Subject: Update on our Work
Hi everyone,
I thought you might be interested in some initial data we have
been able to generate due to the support of the HCL Research
Foundation.
Attached are three photographs of tumors that we produced in mice
by injection of human hairy cell leukemia cells.
DSCF0560.JPG is the tumor that developed
when we did a control manipulation to the cells (stably
transfected with an empty plasmid vector).
DSCF0611.JPG and DSCF0627.JPG are
tumors that developed when we reconstituted appropriate expression
of a gene that we have found is expressed at abnormally low levels
in HCL (stably transfected with a plasmid vector producing RhoH).
As you can see when we put in RhoH the tumors are very much
smaller!
We are now going to repeat this experiment several more times to
determine significance before publication.
I would be grateful for your comments and suggestions.
Best wishes,
Simon
