Agent Orange

I am positive that exposure to agent orange is the culprit. In February, 1979, I went to the emergency room at Martin Army Hospital with a sore throat. I was informed that I was anemic and that I should report to the clinic in the morning. I was admitted that morning after a short exam and scheduled for a splenectomy the following morning. As with many who are HCL inflicted my spleen was about the size of a football. The splenectomy was sufficient to stabilize the HCL until 1984 when I was prescribed Interferon Alpha treatment for 12 months. Upon completion of the treatment my blood counts were in the low range of normal where they have remained. I only hope that this is encouragement for others and all the credit is given to JESUS the one that can heal all.
