Answer:  There should be no problem, related to the HCL or the Cladribine, with trying for another baby. The Cladribine does not stay in the system and we would only advise a 6 month delay between completing treatment and conception. We have no evidence that either the disease or the treatment are associated with difficulty in conceiving or with birth defects. We have a number of female and male patients with HCL who have gone on to have healthy babies following treatment including one young woman who has had 3 beautiful children in the 10 years since her successful Cladribine therapy.
