HCL Community Roundtables
What is a community roundtable? Roundtables are moderated forums on Zoom providing peer-to-peer support for patients and their families. HCLF staff and board members facilitate these meetings. We request respectful conversation and an open mind to ensure a positive environment for all participants. To support a welcoming environment, we do not record roundtable meetings.
Who can join? These meetings are free and open to anyone and everyone impacted by hairy cell leukemia. You are welcome and encouraged to participate from anywhere in the world!
What to expect during a community roundtable: After a brief introduction from HCLF staff, participants will go into small breakout groups to have adequate time for questions and to interact with others. Please note that hematologists and physicians do not participate in community roundtables. If you are looking for a presentation from an expert hematologist, visit our webinars and seminars.
Community Roundtable: Open to All
The open roundtable is for everyone impacted by HCL. It is a no-judgement space for people with HCL and their families or support network to listen, ask questions, and help each other. This roundtable is held every two months.

Community Roundtable: Small Groups
In addition to the open roundtable, we host small group roundtables to support specific needs, such as living with HCL variant, that can often get lost in the larger group setting. We hope you find a roundtable discussion that supports you wherever you are in your journey with HCL.
HCL Variant (HCLv) Roundtable
The HCL Variant roundtable is a welcoming space for people with the variant forms of HCL, such as HCLv and IGHV4-34, and their family members to share experiences, ask questions, and support each other. HCL variant roundtables occur every two months.

Women’s Group Roundtable
The Women’s Group roundtable brings together women with HCL from around the world to share experiences, ask questions, and offer peer-to-peer support. Women’s group roundtables occur every two months. Visit the Women’s Group page.

Mesa Redonda en Español / Hispanic Roundtable for Spanish Speakers
La Mesa Redonda del Grupo Hispano y Latino reúne a pacientes y familiares de habla hispana para compartir experiencias en español, hacer preguntas y brindar apoyo entre pares. / The Hispanic and Latino Group Roundtable brings together Spanish-speaking patients and families to share experiences in Spanish, ask questions, and offer peer-to-peer support. We aim to create a safe and trusted space where everyone can freely express themselves.

Clinical Trials Roundtable
The Clinical Trials roundtable is for people with HCL and their support network to learn about HCL clinical trials from other patients. During each roundtable, one or more patients who have joined trials will share their experiences and answer questions. We hope to raise awareness of opportunities to make a difference in HCL research.
